Folks have asked me for my opinion on the new Hobbit movie that came out not too long ago. Well after skipping opening night and it raked in $149,858,000 by December 23rd i decided it time to give the film a look and having just watched The Lord of the Rings trilogy i would be able to get a perspective as to how it holds up. Well i can safely say it does indeed hold up to the standards of the rest of the franchise. You can very easily pair this in with any of the LotR movies and it will fit in very nicely.All the characters are likable and chain of events is pretty easy to follow as well and theirs no lack of humor mixed in between. It certainly stands out among most of the movies being released lately. Overall i do like this movie. I give it a 9/10 because theirs one huge plot hole... If Gandalf can fly the eagles why cant they just fly them all the way to the mountain?
